And one for big brother too!

CHARITY BABY BLANKETS FOR OUR LOCAL PREGNANCY CENTERS

This is a paper pieced wall hanging,  I made and donated to my knitting guild to use as a  raffle prize.

This is my Chevron Quilt, I made just the top.  Made this one in my quilting class at the college.  Used up lots of my scraps making this quilt.  Still have lots of scraps tho.
This one was made in November 2012.

FIRST QUILT IN 5 YEARS!

I had given my mom some 6" blocks to sew together to make her own quilt top.  But she only made a few rows and there it sat for several months.  So I took the remaining blocks home and finished sewing rows of 6" blocks.  Then I I sewed them to white fabric and cut them into triangles.  I thought I would put them together as a Pin Wheel Quilt.  And here is the completed quilt.  I have several more quilts in mind to make this summer.

MY COUNTY FAIR ENTRIES

This year I entered several of my knitted and crocheted items and I entered my Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread.  I forgot to  get a picture of my pumpkin bread, but I got a Third place ribbon for it.  I was happy with 3rd place, but I will try again next year.  You
can see what ribbons I got for each item.  The top picture is a crocheted hat.  The next picture is a pair of crocheted baby slippers made out of wool and felted.
This is wool yarn that I hand dyed with Kool-Aid.  I think I will make a pair of tie dyed socks with the yarn.  Should be interesting. Will post a picture when I get them made.  LOL!

These are a pair of boot slippers I knitted and felted.

This is a ripple afghan I crocheted and named "Ocean Waves."

This is a scarf I crocheted.

This is a Theme tote bag I made.  The theme for the fair this year was, "This Little Pig,"  anyone who entered anything with a pig got a Fair Theme ribbon.

And last but not least another tote bag.

I also entered another  crocheted ripple afghan in the Christmas division.  I made it with Victorian Christmas colors.

TOTE BAGS ANYONE!

Another thing I have been sewing many of are tote bags.  I have made several for myself and have given away a few also.
<---- This one I made from some fabric I bought at a quilt show a long time ago.  It has dogs on it.

<---- This one was made from an old shirt I had made years ago and then saved the shirt when I didn't wear it anymore.

<--- This one was made for a friend.

<--- This one was made for my daughter and granddaughter.  Cute matching tote bags.

<----This one I made for spring.

This one was made out of curtains a friend had sent me.  It is all kinds of Campbell soup labels.

<---- This one I made and entered an "ugly fabric" contest.  I won a $10 gift certificate.  I also entered this one in the San Bernardino County Fair, and I won an Honorable Mention.

<--- This one I made for a friends birthday.

Pillowcases! My latest sewing thing!

I took a sewing class at the college this past spring.  Thought I would take it for fun.  Pillowcases is one of the fun projects we made.  The pillowcase to the left is one I made for my Grandson, it has a matching comforter.

These two on the left were made for a friends granddaughter.

This one was made for my friend in Colorado.

These were my experimental pillowcases.

Ahhhh finally PINK!

Yea!!! I get to make pink stuff. Here are a couple fleece blankies. This was one large piece of fleece, so I cut it in half and crocheted around the border of one and used satin binding for the other one. So now Baby Girl will have two blankies, one to use and one for just in case.

My latest sweater project

It's finally finished. Can't remember when I started it, could have been before Christmas, but I finished it today March 2, 2009. I still have to take care of all the loose yarn inside, which is so boring.
I just bought some light blue yarn to make my next project which will be a cardigan.

In Search of A Yarn Shop

I am still working on my GS's blanket, small needles and thin yarn take a long time. Well I made a mistake the other day and thought "oh no" I don't know how to fix it." So I got on the internet and found a yarn shop called "Simply Fibers ltd" that was on our way to Branson. It is located in Springfield, MO. So I called the shop and explained my situation, and the nice lady said to come on down and she would help me out. So we got to Springfield, MO and found the shop and the nice lady fixed my mistake, so of course while there I bought some sock yarn for my collection. You can never have enough sock yarn!
